Butterflies and moths perform important pollination work in our gardens, and their beauty is legendary. Their bright colors and graceful motion in the garden
Volunteers can often be seen working the Butterfly Garden, where they are adding plants, tilling the soil and keeping record of butterflies fluttering by. Should you see any of them, do not hesitate to strike up a conversation. They are a tremendous source of information and are happy to share.
Volunteer Mike Delgado has begun the planting of SYV native plants that are irresistible to butterflies. You can find the newbies on the south west end of the Children’s Amphitheater, to the right of the willows and up against the fence.
